A Professional Decision
Unfortunately I have had to turn down a job. I had an enquiry from a couple in the South East building a three-bed house down on the Lizard with a view to letting it out as a holiday let.
They asked if I would be able to look after the build in their absence and then take on the house once it was up and running and provide concierge services for guests. I so wanted to say yes, yes, yes! This is very much my sort of thing. But in all conscience I felt I couldn’t. I’m probably the best part of a couple of hours away by car so I felt there may be times when I wouldn’t be able to deal with issues and respond appropriately at short notice; it makes more sense to have someone closer to the site. Still galling though.
